I know my days are limited in using my children as models. I know that they get tired of me saying, "You wanna go take pics today?" Thankfully they will still participate somewhat willingly...ok...I do bribe them from time to time. On this day, they were given rootbeer floats and orange cream shakes from sonic before-hand. I have learned that I just have to let them do their thing and then I won't get any temper shots! They had a great time...just wish the sun would have been out a little more but it was the only warm day that we had this week. Oh and...you wouldn't know it by looking at her but my daughter, Ariel, tested positive for strep that day! She is a trooper!
I love that I was able to capture this goofy side of my kids. This is Caleb being a monster and trying to scare Ariel. In the end, she ended up trying to woo him by batting her eyelashes and then turning her back on him and trying to take self defense on him! These two seriously love each other!
These next three photos of my son knocked me off my feet and took my breath away! He will be 9 in June. Where did the time go?
And these of Ariel are amazing as well. She is just so naturally photogenic and she usually loves to ham it up for me with huge belly laughs!
Meet the Buettemeyer Family! I met Bryan and Jenna through my husband at a work Christmas party last year. Bryan is a wedding and family photographer in the Northwest Arkansas area and he and I shared our passions and desires for capturing memories behind a lens. Jenna and Bryan decided right away that they wanted me to capture their first moments with their new arrival and I was delighted to have them in my studio! I think Bryan would agree that it's a little strange and intimidating allowing another photographer to step in a take over but I was so thrilled with the way the way their photos turned out!
Baby Rhett was officially the tiniest little one that I have ever captured before, weighing in at only 5 lbs! We had no problem getting him into the squishy newborn poses. And Jenna was an absolutely beautiful mama! Their oldest son Hudson was a typical busy two year old but did allow us to get a few shots of him and his new little brother.
This girl was so much fun! We had set up a scheduled session and had to post-pone it due to the weather. We happened to be texting back and forth one Sunday afternoon trying to reschedule her session for the following week and after looking at both of our schedules decided on a whim to get together that afternoon. She had two and a half hours to throw some outfits together, curl her hair and get her make-up on! I'd say being a dancer comes in handy when it comes to quick wardrobe changes and learning to do make-up in a timely manner! Thanks Heather for a great afternoon! I love laughing with the young ones!
I am three months into the new year and I have decided to make some changes to my website and to blogging. Simplicity is key and this new website will allow me to take a simpler approach on how to communicate to my clients on what I can offer. I did not hire a web designer so I am doing the web layouts on my own so it will take me a while to work out all the kinks, so bare with me!
